# S3-Compatible Storage
Stores attachments in Amazon S3 or an S3-compatible store such as DigitalOcean Spaces, MinIO, Cloudflare R2 or B2.
Use when uploaded files must live in object storage instead of the app server disk, for example with several app instances.

## Install plan (0.9)
1. yarn add @open-mercato/storage-s3@0.9.0
2. echo OM_ENABLE_STORAGE_S3=true >> .env
   - A new app registers storage_s3 in src/modules.ts behind OM_ENABLE_STORAGE_S3, so yarn add and the flag turn it on. yarn mercato module add would register it a second time.
3. yarn generate
4. Grant these permissions to roles the user names: storage_providers.manage

In an app from the empty preset:
